Variety: Tempranillo –over 97%- with a few vines of Mazuelo and Malvasia de Rioja.

Vinification: hand picked in cases of 8 kg of capacity. Manual destemmed and hand sorted. Alcoholic fermentation with the whole grain. Malolactic fermentation 50% in tank and 50% in a new French oak barrique. Total ageing: 11 months with a frequent batonnage of twice a week and switching the wine in barrique and the wine in tank in the middle of this period of 11 months.
Tasting note: Deep and brilliant red cherry color. More ripe black fruit and less spice than 2015; concentration in nose with a pleasant creamy oak in the background. The mouth is a long lasting balance of length, freshness and intensity. A wine to drink now or enjoy in the next 5 years from the year of the vintage.
